I am a very optimistic, hands-on kind of person who approaches most tasks spontaneously and enthusiastically. But there is a limit to that and when problems arise, I tend to go inward to listen for new options.
I am in the process of writing a memoir of my childhood as a refugee from the former East Germany, a journey back into the often dark and frightening past. And it is also a journey of discovery of what events shaped me and how much of this past is still with me every day.
I think I'll stop now. It is a scary thing to write to an unknown reader.

Oh, you did it!! I am so impressed. But then, I know from personal experience that there is nothing *you* can't do once you set your mind to it. :-)
My one piece advice? Write for yourself. Your words will come much easier and the experience won't be quite so daunting as writing for the "unknown reader".

How fitting that you, farmgirl_dk, should be the first to comment on my first entry. I am confident it will get easier.
So. When are you gonna write another blog post, huh? When, huh? :-)
Hi Zitrone! Thank you for visiting my blog and posting a comment! It is very nice to "meet" you. The blog world is so huge, so it is nice to come together this way. I have been blogging for almost a year now and it gets easier with time and practice. I agree with Farmgirl. I use the blog as a way to connect with folks, but also as a sort of journal. So i write for me mostly and if someone else enjoys reading that, then that's wonderful! I am sure some get tired of hearing about my granddaughter Lola and my dogs tho! ;) hahaha. I've added you to my daily reading list so i will be checking in with you!
Hi, Zitrone! As a regular reader of Danni's blog, I was excited to see yours. Surely the apple didn't fall far from the tree, so I'm certain you'll do a great job.
As one who has entered the second half of life myself, I'm anxious to hear your thoughts and experiences. You go, girl!
